I have been waiting on a report hoping to get a map posted. Computers and the Garmin site don't want to cooperate, so I will wait no more
First I can't say enough about the help we have had getting this trail built. We simply got a ton of trail work done in a VERY short time period. We had some of our usual stalwarts putting in tons of time. We had people like Tara that are local and just getting back into mountain biking again. I think she put in two back to back eight hour days! We even had non-mountain bikers pitching in. It was really nice to see the dedication and seeing everyone pitching in to get this done. Thanks again for your help. Another big thanks to CamRock Sport for feeding the crews and the beverages to make the hard work more fun. I sincerely hope everyone knows how much I appreciate the help, and hope you get out and appreciate what you have accomplished. And when you do stop in to CamRock Sport and buy a sammie and a beverage to support the local bike shop that supports us.
Where the trail is at: It is about 95% rideable. Only two 40' long sections of woods need to get cleared for everything to connect it and make it rideable.
What we have: We will be riding this trail starting tomorrow! I got to ride the trail yesterday and Mr Garmin told me I rode 1.65 miles from the bridge to CamRock Sport. So about 1.6 miles of new trail. And it has only about 40' of elevation. So it is a very different trail. It is a fun ride now. With lots of nice areas riding right along the creek. And some pretty cool features along the way. Once it gets tires on it and gets buffed in it will be even better. I can't wait to both snowbike and snowshoe it this winter!
What we could still use: For me the trail is about 85% complete. Another 3-4 hours of mowing would really make the short areas that have only been blazed through a lot better to ride. There is another 150' that is rideable that would be a lot better with some benchcutting. Otherwise there might be some slipping on sideslopes this winter with the snow bikes

There is also a bridge needed over a narrow drain. With some skill you can ride through it now but it is a wet hole. Josh Henry and Dave Reece have volunteered to take on the task of getting this bridge built and installed. Thanks guys! If you know how to benchcut trail and have a few hours it would be great to get this done before Mr Frost comes back. We will get a group pulled together. If you have any time to give and can run a mower you can still help get this trail buffed out and and more fun for everyone. All help is appreciated.
We finally have trails connecting all the way from Rockdale to Cambridge

If you can lend a hand to help put the final touches on this trail either call me at 7:SEVEN:2 7:EIGHT THREE:3, or call CamRock Sport and Cafe and ask for Jeff. Tell them you want to help finish the trail.
