Packed Snowblargh!
Trail conditions: Cold and rainy Friday night...hope it's OK later on Saturday. If you go, don't ride if you're leaving a rut.
Update: A NICA race is happening this weekend. Watch for course being set up on Saturday, and the race on the East side on Sunday AM.
Update: CHANGE IN TIME: Fall trail work day is Sunday Oct 18 from 12 noon-4 PM. Look for updates on Facebook and the Club's website.
Riding tip of the day: Safety is our top priority. Bikes--stay on trails and avoid riding on the roads and in the parking lots. Cars--speed limit is 10 MPH. Please slow down.

ClosedAll trails are open, keep an eye out for slick spots. Leaves are starting to fall, we could use some help with that soon.
Use good judgment when deciding when and where to ride. Over Lode generally dries up first after rain events. Contact us on Facebook or at bluemoundstewards@madcitydirt.com to report any issues. You can also help by keeping the trails clear of sticks and loose rocks.
Check the BMSP DNR website or call the park for information on bathrooms, water access, and camping. Please treat the park as you would any public space that you want to remain open. Carry out anything you carry in, observe safe distancing, and keep group numbers to the minimum possible. It should go without saying that pets are expected to stay on-leash, and their waste leaves with their owner. Thanks!

Packed SnowPlease be aware of the new trail work and trail additions; oh and join/donate to CORP if you are lovin' these trails!
That's how you get more of them😉
Note extra busy times on Wednesday from 6-7:30p, and Saturday from 9a-11a for CamRock Climbers NICA practice. Riders of all abilities will be spread out from all three CamRock parks. Some other teams use the parks as well, but we do not always know when that will be. We will post up if given notice. Please give those younger shredders some leeway.
FYI: if you’re driving 90 west towards Chicago, the exit is CLOSED when trying to head to Cambridge. There is reroutes. Follow the signs.

Thanks to whoever removed the big tree blocking the gulley jump. If you are digging near the pump track, please
reach out to us; you may have a good idea, but we want to avoid damaging existing trail.
In an effort to spread themselves thinner in the name of social distancing, small groups from the West Composite NICA team may be using the park on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 5:00 and 6:00. If you are riding then, keep an eye out for increased traffic and offer words of encouragement as they learn about the triumphs and tragedies of rocks and roots.

Avoid parking at trailhead if the lot is full. Also, please don't park in the neighborhood next to the trails. The idea is to park somewhere else so there won't be a crowd and you won't be giving anyone a reason to complain. Or ride over, it's easy to get to the park from almost anywhere in the area via bike routes. Thanks!

As a reminder, please don't ride on the trails when they are wet or soft. If your tires are leaving a rut, time to stop riding.
NEW: there is a longer, better marked green (Easy) extension before the log drops in the center field. Consider that extension if you prefer to keep your tires on the ground. And please stay on designated trails.
Join or renew your CORP membership now and you're entered to win one of 16
