Yeah, I'm waiting to get a Carver fork, so I don't want to cut the steer tube on this one at all so I can sell it. Plus, it makes me very popular with the ladies.

Since the freakishly nerve bag school administrators have cancelled school based on a forecast I'm going to predict this is a big bust and we get less than 5 inches.

    LOL wut?

Nick and I plan to meet tomorrow afternoon when he gets off work to stomp the snow down a bit and then ride it on Saturday.  Neither of us has a snow bike; he'll be on his EX I'm guessing, and I'll be on my Sawyer 29er.  If anyone wants to join the stomp party followed by beer drinking, post up. I'll try to check the page off and on.

Also, I'll post up a ride call if you want to join our ride Saturday when I know the details.

Got the Fat Boards out (back country skis) for two hours at the Arb. Lots of downed/bent over trees on the trails. The prairie was better, but windy. Going out later for an evening session around the neighborhood.

Well it was truly an adventure out there today! This morning Aron d Rockdale and the trails close here it was fun. About 4-5" on trails and a fun ride. This afternoon was another story entirely. Josh and I headed out about 1p. Snow was deep. It was blowing hard. And coming down even harder. Through the woods was fun. Very hard riding, but fun. Apparently 3.5 lb of air is not to low for some conditions. About 8" of very packy super wet snow. Lots of the snow is caught up in the trees. Took almost an hour to go 1/2 mile. A lot of stops for down trees and for pictures. It was honestly very cool out there. Lots of trees cracking. Ice dams in creek. Pretty surreal to be out there.
The not-prairie area south of the bridge was another story. In the open a lot of areas were impossible to ride. Double the depth of snow. You were post holing with each pedal stroke because you are sinking in so deep. We went another 1/2 mile in another 45 minutes and it was time to pull the pin. We were soaked through. Josh's hands were freezing up.
On the plus side it only took 1/2 hour to do the whole return trip :)
