Any interest in having a presence at Ride the Drive this year?  The downtown one is June 2, 10:00 - 3:00.  It is $50 to have an official "Activity Booth."  Besides the fee, I figure we would need a pop-up shelter, a banner of some kind, some literature, and some folks to hang out.  Some easy portable TTFs for folks to try would be good.  Some harder ones and some folks who can ride them might be.  What do you all think?  If the weather is good, alot of people will be out.

Probably a good idea.  I have an easy up 10x10 that can be used.  What we need is a point person to take responsibility and make it happen.  Are you it?

I can head it up, but I would like to see a half dozen or so folks express interest in helping out before committing.

So we are all signed up.  10:00 until 2:00 is the time.  Nelson, we will want that Easy Up; I will get in touch with you about getting it.  Do we have a sign, or literature to hand out.  I don't think we need either, but if they are available it would be nice.  If people are interested in getting together to plan a little bit, let me know and we will work out a time.  We can probably do a decent job just winging it, too.  Otherwise, we just need folks to hang out and look good.

We will be in Olin Park, between the hot dog stand and We Are All Mechanics.

I will be there to set up around 9:30, official start is 10:00.

One slight hitch that has arisen is that I didn't realize my daughter has a violin recital at 2:00, so I am going to need to head out about 1:00.  If someone were available to take over for the last hour and then gather our stuff, that would be awesome.  Otherwise I will just shut down at 1:00.  We won't have alot of stuff there, so it should be an easy job to clean up.

Don't be shy about showing up and hanging out a bit.  RTD is a pretty fun gig in and of itself; a good-spirited celebration of bikes of all kinds.  And I suspect our booth will have more of an impact if there are more of us there.

If anyone knows of any poster or banner or sign with that we could use, let me know.  Or I can make something.

I have a poster/banner that will work pretty well. It's on a self-contained stand meant more for indoor use, but I'm sure we can weight it down somehow.

Not sure if we're going to make it yet so we can arrange a hand off sometime soon.

Hey guys. I am currently stuck in Durango and will not make it back for Ride The Drive. Blown head gasket on mountain pass.

I need someone to fill in at the booth for me.

Augs is also planning on being there. I have email, web, and limited phone access.

    Please help.

    Thanks.

    Hey all,

With Nick stuck in CO, I could really use someone who could commit to being around from 1:00 to 2:00, then be in charge of taking down our gear.  Otherwise, I will have to take it all home at 1:00.  It will be shorter than a work day and doesn't involve blisters, ticks, poison ivy, or being told that your bench cut is 2 degrees to steep.  Just sitting around talking about biking.

If you can't do that, but you will be out for RTD, come by and hang out for a bit.

I don't know how to do it, but it might be worth sending one of those e-mail messages that goes out to the whole club that says we will have a booth and folks should stop by, as far as reaching folks who are not following this thread.

    Thanks,

    Jon
