Man that climb is a bit of a bitch... fun ride though. Signage is definitely needed ASAP, we were a bit lost this afternoon as were 3 other riders...

No one really knew where to go at the bottom of that hairpin turn by the river/ditch crossing when entering the trail from the parking lot. It appears that climb is a downhill and was being ridden as such. At the top of the climb I was honestly lost as to where to go. Assuming its a left hand turn but we ended up on the top of the ridge before realizing we weren't supposed to go that way. It does do a bit better as a downhill for a beginner rather than a climb. That big rocky descent in the original route is very intimidating to newer and even intermediate riders. I'll be honest and say I haven't ridden it and my 'advanced' friends bailed out on it today. Maybe old age and lack of insurance is catching up with us  :o

The one thing I will say about Quarry Ridge is it really needs some signs period, colors or names or something more than advanced/expert/easy signs. Easy to get turned around out there. Hard to tell which trail goes where from the online trail map (prior to the new trail) just an outside/beginner perspective on that one.

In any event the new trail got rave reviews from everyone on a lunch time ride. Really great job! And thanks again for all the hard work!

BTW there is a rogue hoe sitting out on the middle part of that climb. Would've grabbed it but not sure where to put it away...

I ride out there at lunch many times a week, I work 5 minutes away.  I'd be happy to give you a tour at lunch or after work some time.   You can shoot me a PM.  Friday or next week could work.

Great work on the trails out there.  Can't believe how much great singletrack was cut in last weekend.

The new uphill route is amazing and well laid out, great job guys.

I also liked all the work along the pond to extend the trail mileage and add some twisty, fun riding to the mix.

The way we rode it last night, we had 3 miles of singletrack without re-riding anything, makes for a good place to get laps after work or at lunch.

I was out last night and I agree that the new trail is awesome!  Great work you guys!   :)

I'm glad I came here first and saw that the new trail on the South end of the park is supposed to be an uphill.  I have to say, I kind of love it as an uphill.  It's a great climb that I can do in one swoop without having to get off my bike.  Signs would be beneficial though.  I did run into some riders who were going down it.

That part scared me for a while when I first started riding out there too but it isn't actually difficult, it's just intimidating to look at from the top.  I noticed the one time I went out this year that it is actually a lot easier now than it was last year as the 2 rock steps that used to run across it have been broken up so you don't have to do any drops in the middle (they used to be about 4-6" depending on where you hit them).

A couple years ago we had a really fun "skillz" ride at camrock where we took a bunch of people out in a group ride and worked on the different technical features in outback.  Then beers and brats at CR III.  Maybe we should do one of these at QR.  Not as much trail or features, but QR has a little of everything and I think some people would appreciate some relaxed group practice (?)

Loved the new trail. The climb was plenty rideable. The new trail along the lake was fun and flowy. Nice work.

Signs are printed and just need posts and volunteer hours to install. Anyone willing? I'm out of town this summer.

Yeah I had seen that the Flow had just opened, possibly the first trail.  There was still snow on it a couple weeks ago.
