I mowed from Camrock 3. Singletrack out of parking lot, beginner downhill. top of beer run trail, first 1/4 or rattlesnake, all singletrack around the top field off Highland, trail out of rattlesnake down to old roundabout and then the return to new roundabout. return from bottom of Rip n Ride to the roundabout. I mowed both sides of all these sections.

Mower lasted 2 hours then over heated. I timed it so it quit as I pulled up the truck in CR3 parking lot! Lunch Break at Rockdale Bar N Grill then ran it for another hour before I ran out of gas and time.

We need to mow from old roundabout out connector, veritas, return to top of rip n ride.

It was a beautiful day. I wished I would have had more time so I could have got more done before the holiday weekend. Race is in 3 weeks. We need to get her looking good.

    Thanks all,

    Tom Harron

Tom, Bruce Pedrick called last night. He was going to mow yesterday and found the mower out. I told him you hd it out. He was going to go out again today. I assume it was back In the Clubhouse this am?

Can anyone who has ridden at CamRock update this? Would love to know what needs attention yet. Either mowing, trimming, trees down, etc.
With my surgery it will be some time before i am hitting the singletrack beyond the easy trails for scouting rides.
I think most or all of the Connector is done? Other trails not in the race need love too. The new Creekside trails are elbow high!
If you can even spare an hour before or after a ride let me know. We can use your help. Call me or text me anytime at 6:zero:8, 7:seven:2, 7:eight three:3. I will steer you where you can be the most help.

I'd hoped to get out and walk some of the wooded areas this past week with the trimmer but my truck broke down and I have limited transportation at this time.  I'll hopefully have my truck back by the end of this coming week and will be able to lend a hand.

Thanks Thom. Sorry to hear about the truck. Those wooded sections are what I have a if question on. I suppose we should just assume they will need attention before the race?

There will be a group of us out there next Saturday and Sunday working with Dewayne. It would be a perfect opportunity for anyone available to work on the maintenance issues ie. mowing, trimming, etc. I think we are starting at 8:00 both days. We will post if those times are incorrect.

Rode last night and this is what I saw:

    All wooded sections need attention
Old Roundabout to Mayor's Playground and Raspberry Fields Forever need mowed
All other grassy areas will need another pass before the race as the tall grass is starting to hang over

    Guess that means everything........

The grass grew 5 inches in 8 days after I mowed most of the area between CR3 and bottom of Rip N Ride 2 weeks ago. The weather forecast looks to have decent mowing weather for the next week. Let's hear some shout outs so we can get a mowing party going.

My truck got fixed today but I won't be picking it up until tomorrow morning.  I have the next couple of days off and plan on getting as much as I can done.  I'll start with the hand trimmer tomorrow and get all the wooded sections done if the weather cooperates.  If I still feel up to it I'll start on some mowing but will probably wait until Friday.

    Ditto! Thanks Thom.
I wont be back until Friday, but let me know if we need more gas or oil.
Do you have the code to get into the CORP clubhouse (garage in Cambridge)? Everything is located there now.

I haven't been in the new garage and don't know the code.  You can text it to me or call and leave me a voice.  Also,  Is there a key around to get me through the gate that takes you down to the Veritas-Outback area.

I called Thom and told him what Chuck told me. He is going to weed whip the woods.
