Trail discussion broken out of the Monday night no-drop group ride thread

The trail is in great shape. I broke off to check out the creekside connector. A few wet spots that had tire marks in them. . .

Big issue though is we'll be losing that trail within a week if its not mowed soon. Specifically between the two bridges I was in head high weeds completely obscuring the track.

Thanks for the update Nelson. Last time I was out there the creek was still too high to navigate about 10 days ago.
I will contact Dave Reece. He has a couple of bridges built to greatly increase the crossing area by CamRock I.

Dave installed the bridge last night. All that is left is cutting a bit of trail to connect it to the CR I side of the trail. Kudos to Dave for working in the worst swarm of mosquitoes ever seen  :o

Awesome! I guess you and Dave can ignore the email I just sent....
I should be able to get out there today to check it out. Then it's just a matter of getting it mowed.
Alright, enough hijacking the Group Ride thread for trail work discussions. You can now return to your normal riding discussions.

Dave needs to get an award for "person who contributes the most to CORP trails, yet very few know who he is." He does an amazing amount of work on the trails. Always on his own time. I think the only wooden features at CamRock that Dave didn't either work with Josh on or just do himself are the two Boy Scout features.

I split this topic off to keep the group ride thread on topic.  Re the recognition of our members, we do have the annual volunteer of the year award we need to think about for the December party.

I will be cutting in the last small forested section of trail connecting the bridge to the existing trail.  Should be out there Saturday evening after work.
