Bikes, Brats, and Beer at Blue Mound on Saturday September 14th

The Blue Mound work day was rained out this spring, leaving me with a bunch of brats (don't worry, they stayed in the freezer!).

I have found a hidden talent in myself: I can go to a liquor store and purchase beer.

The trails at Blue Mound are dry and in acceptable shape to ride.

All you need to do is show up and ride, then hang around long enough to eat, drink, and maybe shoot the breeze for a while. I'm planning on serving food around 5-6 PM at the end of the pool parking lot near the new ski shelter. Time your riding accordingly. I'd suggest arriving sometime around 3PM or so.

I'm guessing that the turnout will be under 25 people and will be bringing brats and beer for that many people. If I see lots of responses here I can bump that up.

I'll be there, probably solo (no family). Should be a good time, come out and ride, eat, and imbibe. No Badgers game until 9:30!

Thanks for the invite! I would love to come and meet some folks. Unfortunately, I will be at the WEMS Northern Kettle Fall Epic event in New Fane. Cheers.

No wonder i couldn't find this.  I looked where I thought it would be posted: Announcements for Group Rides and Events & Blue Mound (CORP Trail).  Does anyone else think it would be more appropriate to post it in one or both of those forums?

I just found some time to get out there.  I'm on a schedule so I'll probably be on the trails before the main group but hopefully we'll cross paths.

Blue Mounds is so much fun!  Over Lode is a sweet trail, too.  Walt, thanks for hosting this.  My only request:  Next time please specify the beer you're bringing so I know if I need to bring my own.  I am an admitted beer snob and like brown and black ales, porters, and stouts, not the hoppy trendy stuff so popular now.

    Thanks again.

I felt the Hacker-Pschorr Marzen and Spaten were not at all trendy and yes to much fun!

Thanks to everyone who showed up and made the BBB an event. It was great to meet more of the folks who help make it a trail!

DeWayne: Sorry you didn't like the beer selection. Thanks again for everything you've contributed to the local trails. Hope your new gig goes well.

Great ride last night. One of the funnest times I've had at Blue ever!

Thanks for the trails and thanks for the hospitality. I loved the beer selection, got to try a few new things, and thanks to William for showing me a few new lines.
