At our summer meeting, we discussed the idea of developing a club video for recruitment purposes.  Is there anyone in the club with video-editing skills that would be willing to take the lead on this?  Likewise, who has video of CORP members building or shredding our trails?   It would be great to have a slick/polished recruitment video we could play at the Jan.  bike swap and/or other events CORP attends so people can see what we are all about.

Paul offered help here in our summer meeting.

I happen to be organizing photos and videos but am not a pro like Paul. I still have his card, maybe he'll speak up.

Some of what I have from TTF crew project would be good content. I had the GoPro on at one of the kids MTB classes but have not yet analyzed it for good stuff. IMO some of the TTF crew content and kids stuff would be very good.

Beyond editing, I have GoPro stuff and professional camera gear that can help or might complement what others have. I share Canon bodies, lenses and flash units with a business associate. What we have might help.

Richard has his cable rig, and a business associate of mine has a drone or copter with enough power and control to carry a camera.

What I can do is basic edits, fades, text and have some 30 - 90 second bits to contribute.

I have a friend who does video stuff, pretty good too. Originally I had asked if he'd be interested in doing some shoots of me riding and he thought it sounded cool. He's got a boom with remote head and all sorts of fancy stuff.

What would be really neat would be to shoot some before/during/after video of trail work (in addition to riding video).

I could see a documentary style video being kind of cool. Something like the big MTB films where there are segments at multiple locations, talking with trail builders, land managers, riders, and local businesses. Really displaying all aspects of what we do, where we work/ride, and who we are.

I had been talking with the FACT Channel (Fitchburgs local gov. channel) about producing a video with interviews - Nelson.....Anyway, if this gets off the ground, we will have easy access to airing it here in Fitchburg.  Keep me in the loop.

Who wants to take charge of this project and make it happen?

I've got a friend who said he'd be willing to help us out with making a vid. Can BoD get me some details on what they would like and I can head this up?

Who wants to take charge of this project and make it happen?

I've organized years of CORP video and photos in the past month+. I've also bought some items that will help make better videos. Add done homework on and gathered sound track content that is royalty-free and displayed address copyright issues. Don't expect instant results but you'll see some videos and slide shows from me.

That's awesome. We've discussed videos to help promote the IMBA chapter and events, others to help explain what we do for prospective sponsors and grantors. Add have content to show our history.

A few people I spoke with had more interest in just making a cool video than to address a task or need and I think that's as great as anything. Something done with passion should be a sell and promotion by itself.

Selling and explaining the club is what I have in mind.

    Thanks.

I recently purchased a "real" camera that take good quality video. I will make every attempt to capture some video at trail work days, events, and rides to compile.

Don't expect miracles, but I do have a little experience in video/audio production and will try to get something together this year.

I am hoping to pick up where I left off here by the Bike O'Rama weekend.

That said I am also neck deep helping Nelson with stuff and just got thrust into turning $10,000 earmarked for trail building into getting the job done ASAP.

As far as future video. I have different types of tripods, shotgun mic, all important STM lens, wireless flash units, GoPro, and lots of mounts. Shout out when somebody has filling disks in mind. I've also done homework and started gathering royalty-free sound for video production.

Right now I'd like help for anything Bike O'Rama.

    Thx.

I've had ideas bouncing around in my head for years on what a video for the club would look like that would highlight the club, our trails and the builders and riders. We might be getting to the critical mass of interested people and available gear where we can put together something really nice. If several people are interested enough to commit some time then lets get an AV club going and see if we can produce something.

I've been jotting down notes on vids from PinkBike that seem to be well liked and which highlight more than just riding. Currently storyboarding and talking with my friend. Once that's kind of layed out I might be in touch with some of you (BoD, stewards, riders, etc.) for some interviews and sound bites!

I've tried to consider that in the shots and images I'm collecting and sorting. I'm not happy with the one race start I got last year but it conveys the idea. I went to a kids session with GoPro last season to capture that.

I'd be glad to show, share and move this ball forward with you anybody interested.

Rich, lets get together throughout the season and work on this!
