    Hey corey,

That drop youre talking about used to actually be a drop but now its so eroded you can roll it.

Hope to ride with you soon!

This is the first "beginner" feature that took me 3tries to get! I can ride it clean every time now. Want a tip? Lock your fork out.

As long as we actually precede this TTF with an easier one and proper signage, I say leave it.

Corey, hopefully!  Cause freeride is awesome!

Sounds like you need to check out blackhawk, if you like gaps and drops and dh.

I have a Blackhawk summer trail membership and will buy one for each of my family members.  I just haven't been able to got out there recently.

We were ski members there probably 5 years ago when my daughter did a mtn bike race at a family day.

But I really need to get to know BH.  Is there a mtn bike trail map?

It also has the most challenging wood ttf in this area.

    Blackhawk?

Roll it with your rear wheel in your butt, yeah I can see that.  If you can keep your front wheel in front of you it has a nice safe and wide roll out at the bottom.  So the trick is that initial near vertical roll-in.  It seems like it's about 3-4' before it starts to curve out (at least IIRC).  I like that line and want to clean it.

Like I said, I'm waiting to try that until I have someone else there to dial 911.  ;-)

There are three things I want to ride there.  That descent.  The cliff drop at the top.  And a cliff drop at the bottom that I want to cut some small branches away from to clear a trail (there are some wooden bridges stored in the clearing underneath it).

We will see if that happens.   ;)

And I should say that I've always been really interested in riding techinical stuff.  I use to strafe the city at night.

I like single track and will never turn that down.  But give me a bump, descent or something to ride and I'm there!

     ;D

I'm game for some late night urban freeride around downtown!  I'm not putting my no on the internet though like Tom.

Blackhawk has two really nice wood skinnys that are tougher than anything not natural around I think.  The toughest thing corp ttf has built is at pleasantview, it's this goofy log ride that's angled so you have to stop and hop the back wheel then start again.  I know a few spots downtown that are pretty scarry narrow ledges too.

Pics or GTFO! May I ask why? That was a perfectly acceptable intermediate TTF.

Short story even shorter. That was the first time we built rollers with wood. We didn't exactly follow what the steward had asked for or guidelines for roller dimensions and spacing. When we were done we recognized this and decided to wait for some feedback. Got the feedback and acted. Yes, we could have left it and built another beginner feature preceding it. Said feature is not on the list for QR right now nor is it in the budget. We are more or less out of cash until the Battle. We are trying to stick to the priorities we laid out before moving to the projects that are next in line. We have a few more items to finish at QR then we go to PV. After PV it's back to CR. As with anything safety trumps all.

I thought you were coming out to help anyway  ;)
