Shameless plug for the always fun and exhausting Pick Me Up at the Border ride going on this weekend.  At midnight on Friday night we leave the capitol steps and head for the Illinois border.  First person to the border gets the privilege of hooking up to the trailer full of refreshments and hauling it for the social ride back to the capitol.  90ish miles if you make it to the border, or if you're not up to it just wait for the group to pick you up on the way back (many choose to hold up in Monroe for a 70ish mile night).  This year it's even fairly legit since we got the laws changed to allow riding on state trails at night, seriously, we got the state laws changed for this ride.
