Grandpa John wants to start riding a mountain bike with his grandkids!
    The handlebars are 25.4mm
The taller/higher rise the stem the better.
Don't need a brake lever, but cool if it comes as a set.

Old fashioned as in a quill stem for a threaded headset?  What diameter stem?

Nope not that old-fashioned. Just your standard 1" diameter stem, non-threaded.

Kinda like finding a unicorn.  You can use any 1 1/8" stem with a shim though.

That's a great idea. So who has an old 1 1/8" high riser stem for 25.4mm bars lying around?

    i have a 90mm 25 degree stem for 1 1/8 25.4 handlebar.
also a 3 1/2 riser bar if you would like to get higher.

i've got a set of linear pull v-brakes, no levers.
