Ride the Drive is next Sunday, June 7, and CORP will have a booth in Olin Park.  We will have some some mobile TTFs and be trying to spread the word about mountain biking opportunities in the area.  This is a very mellow volunteer opportunity; just come hang out and talk bikes and biking.  No schedule or sign-up, just stop by when you can (though you can let me know if you think you will).  It is a great event for kids, and a nice chance to celebrate bikes in general.  The weather forecast looks excellent, and there will be a couple food cart in the park with us.  We will between the cyclocross folks and the inflatable obstacle course.

    Hope to see you there!

So the weather forecast has deteriorated.  But the sun always shines on the Capital Off-Road Pathfinders.  So if it is raining everywhere else, stop by.  Seriously, forecast is for showers, so it should only be raining periodically.  Unless it looks real bad, I will be out there.  Probably won't be able to ride trails anyway.

The rain has passed us by, so no reason not to come out now.  The TTFs look alot more interesting if there are people riding them, and our group looks more interesting if there is a crowd around our booth.  Bring the family, the tall-bike, do a lap or two, and hang out in Olin Park for a bit.

Turned out to be a beautiful day, hope you got to ride somewhere.  There was a good turnout for RTD, and we had a fair bit of traffic at the booth.  Which is getting to look like we know what we are doing, if I do say so myself.  Thanks to everyone who stopped by.  The TTFs were a hit, testing people's skills and occasionally common sense.

The cyclocross folks set up a mini-course, which was a huge hit; I would not have guessed that so many people have such a strong desire to be corralled around a grassy park.  Even the bike cops took a turn. Though, having done a lap, there is something satisfying about it.

RTD is a pretty fun event; put it on your calendar for next year.
