Who has experience of using tires like 45NRTH Nicotine Studded Tire - 29 x 2.35 on the trails in current frozen conditions? How capable are tires like this of keeping a newbie upright on ice, or even helping a newbie go up or down an icy trail? Also can anyone compare a 29er to a tire like the 45Nrth 26x4.8 Wrathchild? My understanding is that rubber does not work on ice, so you need the studs to run in icy conditions. Both appear to have studs down the center, just wondering if the dimensions make any difference.
