In case you are not following CamRock Sport on Facebook (and if so, why not?). From their page:

FREE BEER! There is a little chill in the air for tomorrow night's ride. Lets kick off the Fall rides the right way and enjoy a free Oskar Blues beer of your choice afterward.

Can't wait for a nice fall ride! See you there :)

Think I'm going to miss this...again. Haven't been on the bike since PBST! Fer shame.

Damn! I'm riding with a buddy out at Blackhawk tonight, unless I can convince him to go to CR instead. Free beer is very enticing, plus it would be a perfect opportunity to show off my new Dale's Pale socks!

If work lets me out in time I'll be there. I can't promise 100% reliability but if someone needs a ride from downtown Madison I have an open seat.

Dead car battery and late night at the office means no riding for me tonight :(

Next week maybe? I just fixed one of my 4 rear flats and waiting on new tubes to be shipped in. I can't find your number since I forgot to put a contact that first snow ride.

Weather looks like a tough one today. One site says rain by noon and done by 3p. Another says start at 2p and going through early evening.

Either way it is still bone-dry at CamRock. Unless it is raining right when we are riding it should be fine. The trail is rock-hard armored. It will only be slick for a short time before it soaks in unless we get a real downpour.

The ride is on for tonight :)

We got a little shower that ended about an hour ago. It is so dry that it may not even be tacky by the time we get out and ride 8) Though their is now a wee bit of chill in the air. Might want to dress accordingly.

Another great ride last night. It is getting darker earlier on so Tim was focused on leading us out with minimal dilly dallying. A real nice ride. One flat but other than that no one had any issues. The chill in the air on the ride back to CamRock Sport was welcome after the heat of this summer. Though the breeze whilst drinking beer on the patio was less so. We found the portable heaters are much less effective in a stiff breeze. Though we soldiered through ;)

I hope no one missed last night because of the rain in the afternoon. The trail was so dry beforehand that after the shower is was still bone dry in most spots. A couple of places were slightly tacky at most.

There is still enough light to get in a full lap of everything without lights. I imagine this will change in the next week or two. The consensus amongst those in attendance last night was to keep the same 6p ride time and turn on lights when needed unless others have another preference. We could prolly move to 5:30p start at the earliest because of people's work schedules. Those 30 minutes would delay needing lights about 3 weeks (we lose 11 minutes in the next week), but would only delay the inevitable. Let us know if you are against keeping the time and switching to night ride mode.

Chuck, 6p works great for me. Don't change it unless you get whining from the masses. And if you do, just do this:

Kinda looks like you, but with more hair.  8)
