Well stated Will. Just pay your $20 and have a ball provided the trails are dry and ridable. :)

Hello.  New member here.  I love the site and appreciate all the information and discussion about local trails.

I was in contact with Blackhawk regarding membership levels.  As an aside I wanted to get confirmation from them about the information in this thread that the Summer Trail membership was really any time other than ski season.

I  got an email from Donald on March 12 and he said that the Summer Trail membership is only Memorial Day to Labor Day.  But he also said that the Summer Membership was not on the website but would "open up" when the trails were suitable for riding, which suggested to me that it was "non-ski" season.  This seemed contradictory.  Donald cc:'d Pat and Mike (I don't know any of them) so I'm presuming they are in the loop on this.

I interpreted that email as a "no," the Summer Trail pass would not let me bike out there today.  I want to respect the club and don't want to be on the property when I'm not suppose to be.

Does anyone have any contacts on the board to clarify this?

    Welcome.

See first post here: "Current and past presidents Mark and Pat said the bike membership is really the off ski season and not strictly Memorial Day through Labor Day as is posted. ". I've been copied some messages where I see leaders are defining the season where it will be dates making a longer season defined along the lines of not when snow is being made.

I do know bike only season members have already been there working with club leaders on trail maintained and improvements. I am sure nobody will kick you out if you're paid up, riding appropriately, and joining the people who have been working on things.

Some who are active CORP and Blackhawk trail crew may be there later today after doing some work at the bike park.

We look forward to seeing you on the trails.

Yes, I saw that about the current and past president, I just got different information directly from the club.

I would love to help out.  I may have run into some of you guys last year at the pump track (my 7 year old son loves it).

I'm not sure today is going to work out.  I have to go grocery shopping and mow the lawn.  But if you let me know future work dates I'd love to contribute!

Thanks for the info.  It sounds like some of the board might not be in the loop on this issue.
