in Group Rides, Bike Trips, and Events

Hello all,
I wanted to put a feeler out there for a ride day to bring some families together.  I have one on a strider (3) and one on a Mtn bike (5), both love riding.  There must be a few families out there who want to ride together on a weekend, but lack riding buddies for the kids.  I'd love to see herds of kids ripping around on their bikes.

Thinking the kids could meet (if they feel social) maybe ride and play around the shelter 3 area.  Is anybody already organizing something like this?  Parents could take a ride, dads meet, everybody eats some lunch and hopefully some families are connected.  Any interest out there?  You can PM me if that works better.

Sounds like a great time to me. I would definitely try and make it. My kids are a little bigger at 6 and 10. The older one rips the trials pretty good. The younger one does alright on most of it. Likes riding the connector. Held back by the crappy kids bike more than ability.

Sounds good, except my wife's due date is 2 days before that, so I'll probably be busy with other things .  Maybe next time.

I have a 14yo girl and 11yo boy I've wanted to show the trails to. Would be a great chance. I'll check their schedules (they are busier than me!).

Hey fellow dads,
Since the Blackhawk bash is the same weekend and the Barnyard Classic is the following I vote to delay the potluck family ride till next season (2013).  I'll make it a point to meet all you guys in person before then.  Maybe the Mayor can call the CamRock date next year and will be able to drum up more folks!  PM me if you are doing a trip to Ray's this winter.

Sounds fun - last WEMS race of the year for me though so I'll be up at Levis.
