I'm planning to ride Kettles tomorrow AM before thanksgiving dinner, and thinking about Camrock Saturday AM while the trail are frozen solid.  If anyone is interested in either post up.  Tomorrow will be a fast pace and 30-40 miles (at least for me and assuming I don't get shot).  Saturday I don't really care, social pace would be fun.

I'll head to Blackhawk with the dog and maybe a kid or 3. No promising when.

Blackhawk trails are blown and open until snow making starts.

I'm about 75% - I don't know what time or if I'm in the mindset for riding in 20 degrees just yet - riding in the mid 50s at Kettles all morning on Thanksgiving is still fresh in my mind.  I'll probably end up going for at least a couple laps though.  Message me your phone number and I can text you in the morning and let you know if and when.  My guess is around 9 or 10 if I go.

I'm game.  9:30 or 10 will work.  You guys have a preference of cam rock sport vs CRIII lot?

Of course I can't make it but cam rock sport seems to now be the defacto start point these days.

Got a nice ride in on a cyclocross course at Emerson Park in Woodstock Illinois this morning. 19 degrees with a 14 windchill. Actually felt pretty good out there. Not cold at all.

Maybe that is because I was riding with a bunch of roadies and I dropped them all on the last lap on Fat Mama ;)

Nice ride at CR this morning. Brisk to start, but we warmed up after 1/2 a lap. Except my toes again. Even the venerable layer of duct tape over the shoes couldn't keep the cold out. I can finally feel them again!

We rode the new singletrack - which is great, and will be even better once it's smooths out a bit - a normal loop, and the CR 2 stuff...which is actually a nice break from the singletrack. Chuck's been saying that for years, but I didn't believe him. With the new bridge installed, it's easy to pop over, do a loop or two, and buzz back onto the single. Something different for the eyes, for sure.

The TTF crew was out early, installing a nice bridge over the marshy section of the new trail. Thanks again guys! We rode it on the way back, and it's solid...which is saying a lot, considering the "soil" is just peat bog!

Nice report Bonner. I have been thinking we might want to move the Roundabout so it lines up with the new bridge.
That would allow for cleaner and more obvious access across the bridge to CamRock II. It would not take a lot to make the change.

That definitely makes a lot of sense  8)
