Got a nice little rain in Rockdale this morning. We really need it. Unless it rains all day I would think we are on for tonight. Hopefully the rain will mean nice tacky conditions instead of hardpan and dust. The rain seems to be stopping about now.

It was raining and thundering when I left for work this morning, so I assumed the ride would be canceled and did not take my bike. Sad, but...because my dog is afraid of thunder, I have to go home over lunchtime to let him out. I have a 2nd chance to grab my bike!

Trails are already dry but there are branches down everywhere. I' heading out with skhil to lob off anything I can reach. DR mower is dead. Start cord is pulled out and will not retract. Plus I can't pull it out of rattlesnake by myself.

And don't forget to tell CamRock Sport that you are with CORP. They will put it in their system and anything that you buy from now on at CRS will get CORP a 5% rebate ;D

Yet another reason to have another!

    Dave,

How can I ride when the trails have grass so thick that you can't get through the connector. The trail from roundabout to Outback woods are TERRIBLE. It needs to be cut with DR Mower in both directions and the Skihl needs to be run all the way out and back too. Same goes to to the trail from the Outback woods  to the Top of Rip N Ride.

Today I used DR Mower to cut all the grass near the Shelter. Beginner Downhill, Fun N Done, Race Connector our of Rattlesnake and some of Rattlesnake before it died. Then the pull start cord pulled out and would not retract so it's in the shop till Wed.

Let's say I was saying some bad words when I was walking the trails with the Skihl today. I started out from the Parking lot and hit Fun N Done and Beginner Downhill with Skihl then out to roundabout before heading toward Rip N Ride in the opposite direction on return trial and then ran out of gas at top of RIP N RIDE.

We need someone to get out with the old mower and cut the connector. It needs to be done before Friday. We also need someone to walk the entire trail system after the trails are cut and blow off the trails for the race.

At this point I don't even want to hold the race. The trail conditions are atrocious. I'm in Milwaukee for 18 hours tomorrow and can't be back the park until Wed. I'll weed whip the whole thing myself to save face at this point.

So to answer your questions. No I didn't even take my bike off the car even though I was at the park for 7 hours.

I'm planning to be there. Should be a sweat-fest. Beer will be required.
