Another great ride last night. It is getting darker earlier on so Tim was focused on leading us out with minimal dilly dallying.

Sorry if I was impatient, I had a lot of angst that needed to be rode (ridden?) out.

No probs Tim. That is a good productive way to deal with that issue.

It was apparent that you were on a roll from the time you left the parking lot. Good for the group to have a change of pace. And good as well for getting the ride in before dark called it for us. Only Mr. Q had lights of any sufficiency on him.

I think I've missed a month of Mondays now and feeling a husk of my former self now. Kids' school schedule has ruined my life this year. Damn their education all to hell!

I'm abandoning them this Monday, though. Toss a frozen pizza in their cage. I can make 5:30 as days get shorter.

Glad to hear you are heading out Monday Gil. It should be another great night. I think if we head out and lead a good pace we should be able to get a full lap in before the dark sets in.
I am hoping to do a full technical lap. Anyone else up for a lap with the goal of hitting all of the technical features? To me this includes the short Cliff Edge loop. And of course trying all of the features along and in the trail.

Lights are generally recommended when it gets dark, but are not necessary so long as there is light.

Helpful reply of the week. Well it will be light somewhere so that should be good enough, no reason carry the extra weight.

Last week it was getting pretty dark near the end of our loop and Q had his lights on.  I would suspect we will be ok for 3/4 of the ride.  I am bringing a single  handlebar light.  ....But I understand if you don't want that extra weight on your Pugsly ;)

Does it get much better than last night? Man it was perfect out. Starting ride out almost 70 degrees on a beautiful fall night. Can you believe that there has not been a single Monday Night Ride and Folly called off for weather all year? Pretty amazing. And it seems the weather just keeps getting better and better.

A bunch of us decided the to do a technical ride last night. That included the Cliff Edge trail. This trail looks rustic compared to the rest of the trails out there. Not a hard packed buffed highway like the rest of the trails at CamRock. Like all the trails at CamRock looked five or so years back before the huge increase in ridership. The debate continues about what this trail is and should be....

So we rode every trail and every feature we could find. We were on a tear last night. Nailed every feature except on 80% of Cherry :( Other than that we got it all. Riding features in the dark with lights adds a nice level of technical challenge. Big Woody is a little spooky with lights. Got the nice little curved log at the end of Outback ;D

All in all another great night on the trails. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Though a lot of folks scooted quick after the ride to watch the Packer game. Lights were needed by 7p. Though with lights we rode all the way to 8p and had a great ride.

Anyone heading out tonight? I've got my knobbies in tow. Should really be getting the house ready for a refi appraisal, but riding is much more fun!

First cancellation of the year. Though we need the rain I was really looking forward to a good ride tonight. Hard to complain about the only cancellation from a full spring/summer/fall of riding. If I count correctly 5 1/2 months of non-stop Monday's 8) I guess the 9:zero:7 will get the finishing touches tonight...

Lets hope for riding weather next week. Charge up those lights. The riding season is far from over. Hope to see you next week :)
