    What are you drinking?

I'm a big cider fan but never seen the one on the right. Must be good?

Drinking my own concoction. Pliny the Elder clone. Nice and hoppy :)

Comparing the Dane County upstart to my neighborhood IPA.

I can't put down the new guy but think the Capital is more rounded yet as hoppy and a lot of times I'll take the lower alcohol (only around 1%) of the Capital. Factor the can convenience and 12 pack value and the Mutiny will remain on our shopping list for events and crisp beverages.

Full disclosure: We decided Ale Asylum Mercy was the best choice for the meal going on in the background.

    :)

P.S. The bottle is straight if you're not looking at it with a wide angle lens and you're sober.

I too really like the Capitol IPA Cans. They are perfect for sticking in the Camelbak for emergency backup hydration on a long ride. Great for intentional use too.

You are right in there being about a 1% difference in alcohol between the Mutiny ( http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/368/91865 ) and the American IPA ( http://wisconsinbrewingcompany.com/beers/002 ), but have you tried the Session IPA ( http://wisconsinbrewingcompany.com/beers/004 )? It's got less alcohol than either one, and just might have an even more enjoyable flavor.

Admittedly, I haven't tried all three against each other on the same day. I think a taste test might be in order.

I've been enjoying the Snowdrift Vanilla Porter ( http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/710/86776 ) this winter.

Pretty sure it's not a good example of a porter, and it's not very vanilla-y, but I think it tastes really good, and isn't that what is important?

You silly, silly, little man-person ::) Don't you know it is all about the exclusivity of the beer you are drinking? The harder to get and the less availability the more you can taunt your fellow forum readers. If it tastes OK is hardly important. If no one else can drink it then how will they know? This is a beer snob forum after all.
You must now be bludgeoned about the head and neck :-*

I did want to try their session IPA and figured trying with another would be the way to do it. Founders has great brews but I didn't care for their session IPA as much as I hoped. That was a lot of hops for lack of roundness.

My wife and I have over time thought Capital's same brews in cans are better than bottles, or at least with the APA and Amber where the cans seem less carbonated when you pour them in a glass.

We use the CORP pint glasses for standardized taste testing.

Hop Rise is my go to session IPA. I do remember liking Daytime from lagunitas.
