I went.  There were about 20 folks.  The Trek Stores bike club came out led by Kevin and helped plus up the numbers.  That's where I got my super pimp new CamRockSport jersey.  It was HOT and buggy but if you kept rolling it was a nice ride.

Ended up skipping the ride tonight. Weird circumstances came together and my wife and I had the opportunity to have a date night. Without kids. In Madison no less!
So it's Parthenons for dinner. Then off to the Union Terrace.
Would have loved the ride as well, but this is a rare occassion. And it would have been a social ride anyway as my lungs are still healing from my really nasty cold.
I Hope I did not disappoint anyone I was supposed to meet with.

A great ride last night. My first time I was able to really get out for this in a couple of months. And even then I missed the first bit as I was getting a Trail Posse crew off and running. The Sun Prairie Youth Cycling crew really stepped up to the plate last night.
Really awesome that CamRock Sport is open until 9p on Mondays now!
Some guys forgot a wheel, so they just rode on one.

My buddy and i showed up in the camrock 3 parking lot just before 8 when that group was leaving. 5 min into our ride my friends derailleur got bound up with his chain and ripped the hanger in half during a shift. luckily i had just thrown my chain tool back into my cycling pack when i was getting ready for the ride. rigged his rig up as a single speed and we were able to take the long way back out of the woods. managed to hit up the new berm sections and even though it was dark, we didn't have lights, and we had never ridden the new berms yet they were a load of fun. i cant wait to get back on them in the daylight and when i actually feel one with the bike. i was completely off kilter on the bike for some reason.

Post from CAmRock Sports Facebook Page:
"Monday Night MTN Bike Riders and facebook "LIKERS": unfortunately, we will need to be closed tomorrow due to our technical kitchen issues. Please check out the madcitydirt.com site to see if the CORP maniacs are still riding tomorrow night but, unfortunately, our shop is going to need to be closed. Also, a heart-felt congrats to CORP for a successful first annual CORPFest!!!!"

Luckliy it is only temporarty. They had refrigeratopr issues pop up later today and won't be able to get fixed in time so they are closed tomorrow.

So what should the plan be tomorrow? I plan to be riding on full suspension for the first time this year. I am thinking we break in the CORP garage? Right across the street at the trailhead. Throw a couple cold ones in a cooler. We have a grill there we can fire up. Bring a lawn chair and viola! It is the usual after ride shenanigans....What do others think?

If you are in what do you want to bring? We can make it a potluck party.

It should be perfect for tonight. It will be nice to have the dust knocked down for the first time in months. I am looking forward to some tackiness in the trails!
I am actually going to get a short ride in soon. I will let you know if conditions are not as expected.

Got a short ride in over lunch. As expected the trail is in absolutely perfect shape! Just awesome! It was really nice to be confident in the corners for some grip and not worry about washing out on the dry powder that has been the norm lately.

I hope to see some folks at the ride tonight!

Agreed. It does not get much more perfect for riding than last night :)

It is going to be another perfect night for riding. Depending on how long you ride and how low of light you are comfortable riding in, lights might be recommended. Of course if it gets too dark you can just jump on the gravel trail and head back, so no safety issues.
Note that CamRock Sport is now closed so no services are available there. I plan to throw a couple of brews in a cooler and bring a chair. Across the creek at Westside Park is a real nice heated bathroom if you need changing facilities.
We should discuss meeting at the CORP garage by the trailhead at 301 West Water Street. Even closer to the bathroom/changing area. And in the garage we have a fridge there where we can chill beers. Also a grill if we get ambitious. If you want to store a chair there, etc, no issues.

It is going to be a different night for me. I have a couple of work folks coming into town for World Dairy Expo. My main vendor I work with. And as the owner of the company says "Mountain biking is the new golf". So we are hitting the trails :)
We should be riding by about 4 or 4:30 barring no delayed flights. Planning to ride until dark, maybe a little later. Then we will grab a brew. Or two. Maybe grab some eats at the Keystone Grill. We will see how things shake out. Prolly will run into you on the trail or after.
As folks are starting to figure out, the CORP garage at 301 Water Street in Cambridge is the place to meet. The garage has lights, a beer fridge (keep 'em cold while riding), a grill if you so desire, a radio, and just generally a good place to hang out. Maybe order a pizza from the Keystone (hint). The one thing we missed last week was some camping chairs to lounge in. When It gets colder we may need one of those above ground fire pits to keep things warmed up. Across the street at the village's Westside Park is a really nice heated bathroom and changing area as well.
It is going to be another perfect fall night to get a ride in. These won't last forever folks! Enjoy the bounty while we have it. Lights will be needed to get a full ride in. I think we had them on by about 6:45 last week. A couple folks without lights just did a shorter ride.
Post up if you are riding and will can open the garage. Otherwise if needed I will make sure it is open before the ride starts. Want to keep those brews cold ;)
